JW is also the founder and Managing Member of Backlog Capital LLC and is also the President, CEO and Chairman of WebTeach Inc. a cloud based education marketplace.
Previously, JW co-founded and served as Chief Operating Officer of Learn.com. He had retired from Learn.com on October 1st, 2010, after Taleo, a SaaS Talent Management leader acquired Learn.com. As Learn.com's Chief Operating Officer, he helped take Learn.com from earning $50,000 in revenue to earning just under $30,000,000 in a hyper competitive marketplace. JW was responsible for the day-to-day field operations of the company and for developing comprehensive sales and marketing programs.
Prior to co-founding Learn.com, JW previously served as a Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley and Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch for 8 years. He spent over 10 years in the food and beverage industry, including owning his own restaurant at 19 years of age. JW also proudly served in the U.S. Army.
JW and his family also own and operate JOLO Winery & Vineyards, LLC a family owned boutique winery in North Carolina.
Arthur P. Cote II – Vice President
Art started his banking career in 1982 in the greater Boston Massachusetts area. Over the past 25 plus years, Art has managed bank branches, hundreds of personnel, has developed and implemented policies, procedures and underwriting criteria for commercial and retail lending, wholesale lending, and residential and construction divisions for regional and multi-national banking concerns. Art's most recent position was with Citigroup where he served as Senior Vice President and East Coast Division Manager.
Brandon A. Dorsey – Portfolio Manager
Brandon began his career in 1994 in Boston Massachusetts. For over a decade, he has demonstrated excellence as a portfolio manager and an analyst focused on both debt and equity transactions. Brandon has co-managed funds and family office funds where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring, closing, managing and disposing of investments.
Brandon received his BS in Marketing from Boston College and his MBA from Florida Atlantic University. Brandon also serves as the Chairman for the Pension Committee of a local nonprofit organization and has served on the Budget Oversight Committee and the General Pension Board for the City of Palm Beach Gardens, and is on the Advisory Board of a community bank.
